I am writing to request admittance into the Teacher 教育 Program at 汉尼拔-LaGrange大学. My name is 玛吉史密斯, and I am a twenty-year-old from 汉尼拔, 密苏里州. I attended Mark Twain Elementary and then 汉尼拔 Middle School and 汉尼拔 High School. 当我还是个高中生的时候, I was a member of FCCLA (Future Career Community Leaders of America), 学生会, 和FTA(未来教师协会). As a member of FTA, I was able to go into various elementary classrooms to help with math groups. It was during these experiences I decided that I wanted to become an elementary teacher.
I have been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since I was eight years old. 在我高中的时候, 我参加了几次宣教旅行, 帮助开办圣经学校, 并协助AWANA. No matter what activities I helped with, I always enjoyed working with children. We all learn in different ways, and no two people are the same. I want a classroom of my own where each child feels like a part of a positive community of learners. Each student needs to feel valued so that he or she can reach their full potential.
